Mar 31, 2001
I AM DIAGONISED BY HIV+VE AND WOULD LIKE TO BUY INSURANCE, RIGHT NOW I DO NOT HAVE INSURANCE AND I AM DEPENDING ON GOVERNMENT AGENCIES FOR HEALTH INSURANCE. MY WIFE GOT A JOB AND HER EMPLOYER WILL GIVE HEALTH INSURANCE, SHE IS PLANNING TO TAKE FAMILY INSURANCE FOR ME TOO.... BUT MY QUESTION IS WILL I BE REJECTED BECAUSE I HAVE A PRE-EXIXTING CASE. I AM HIV+VE FROM I YEAR.
HOW SHOULD I DEAL THIS ISSUE PLEASE HEALP ME ?????/
Response from Mr. Berg
Your best bet will probably be your wife's plan. They can impose a waiting period for payment of claims due to pre-exisiting conditions, but they cannot reject you.
