CONCERN BOUT MY VIRAL LOAD AND MEDS
Jun 7, 2012

Ive been diagnosed with hiv on the 9th march 2012. I do not have a job so i have been going to the state hospital. I am concerned because i only know that my cd4 count was 347, they never tested for my viral load. My meds are Lamivudine 300mg, Efavirenz 600mg, Tenofovir 300mg. As i stay in South Africa and things are not that well at goverment hospitals and i dont have any other choice i am concerned that im not getting the right treatment. Please help

Response from Mr. Vergel

You are getting the most commonly prescribed treatment for people who start therapy, so I would not be too worried if I was you. Just make sure that you take these steps to ensure your health: Recently Diagnosed: What Are the Steps I Can Take to Live Well?
