Insurance
Aug 17, 2008

Hi I have been recently diagnosed, and Im only 22 years old I just got my first job, and I have some health coverage through their insurance, I want to go grad school and still find career that allows me to travel. What is the best Insurance company for HIV pos patients? I am at lost right now, and I want an insurance company that is national provider, can anyone send me in the right direction. I've heard about a cap on the amount of money that insurance companies pay... so if someone can point to an insurance company that is great that would be most appreciated. I know that once I'm officially diagnosed it will be harder for me to get health insurance, atleast private ones. I am kind of alone in my whole process right now, so it would be really helpful. I know theres the Ryan White Act in all the states however, I need and am going to want basic coverage, especially, since my job is not permanent, and I hope to move around the US a little bit more.

I'm also really scared about dying quickly, I know that like even with medication they say people can live long lives, but I've seen statistics, and I feel like even with medications that my chances at a long full life are still just a myth. I just want the truth, and I don't want anything sugar coated. I would like some one to help me deal with this and the reality of how HIV affects my life negatively please. Its really overwhelming and sorry if I seem pessimistic, but right now I am working at coming to terms with this. Thank you
